Staff

Circle Center's professional staff members have backgrounds in nursing, occupational therapy, psychology, nutrition, social work, and exercise science. Three have clinical faculty appointments at Virginia Commonwealth University as assistant professors or instructors. Our paraprofessional staff includes certified nursing assistants, certified adult day healthcare aides, and program assistants.

Ratio of staff to participants is at least one staff to six participants.  All direct care staff are specifically trained to work with older adults and are expected to meet continuing education requirements annually. We have extremely low staff turnover, the most experienced adult day care staff in Virginia, an dprovide extensive continuing education to maintain and expand staff knowledge and skills. 

All professional staff maintain current certification in CPR and first aid.
