Lauren Jensen, Memory Lane Program Manager

Lauren Jensen has a long history with helping others with special needs.  As far back as seventh grade, Lauren knew she wanted a career in therapeutic recreation.  She volunteered for several summers,  and advanced to counselor at Camp Baker in Chesterfield, which serves children with developmental disabilities.

She became a CTRS in 2010 after she was graduated from Longwood University . As an undergraduate, Lauren interned at the Hiram Davis Medical Center and VCU before her first position at the Southside Virginia Training Center.  She loves hands-on work with each individual, and came to Circle Center when she learned of a position in our Montessori-based program, Memory Lane, and Snoezelen.

Lauren appreciates the closeness between the Circle Center staff, the participants and their families, and our openness to innovation.  Lauren is very approachable, and loves camping and cooking.
