Caregiver Seminars
Where do you turn when you discover you're a caregiver? What scenarios do caregivers face? We offer monthly caregiver seminars (free) the last Thursday of each month.
Some examples of topics throughout the year are:
- What is the best way to provide caregiving for your loved one?
- Whom can I call for help?
- Who are existing support groups in the area?
- What does an employee support group offer? How do you enlist its help?
- Legal documents of caregiving
- Driving privileges and safety concerns
- Communicating with elderly parents
- Enlisting sibling support
This month's seminar: Seniors Helping Seniors
July 28 , 2010 4:00-4:45 PM, Pete Landergan will present the services of Seniors Helping Seniors. Circle Center shares their passion for people and conviction to care. Seniors Helping Seniors provides low-cost services in the home with helpders who are seniors themselves. They have a warmth and understanding that comes from experience and wisdom gained over the years. They are all loving, caring compassionate people who bring joy and companionship to everyone with whom they work. That’s why our seniors often become life-long friends with those who receive our services. Seniors Helping Seniors make life a little easier for you or someone you love by providing services in the home — companionship, light housekeeping, cooking, gardening, transportation and more.
We are both committed to giving seniors in the Richmond, Virginia, area the opportunity to foster individuality and promote independence as well as stay home with families.
